This is a short announcement that the West Coast LHC meeting is going to be taking place in Santa Barbara, on April 15th 2011. Here is our website:

I use on electron beam instruments, which are kinda sorta like miniature particle accelerators. Needless to say, the LHC looks like a space faring Ferrari next to a beat up old Ford Pinto half sunk in a lake by comparison.

  That passed me by. I must be lacking in the gene of misconstruing acronyms .
  
  Fortunately, I was not the first one to use that letter combo, so I will declare myself blameless.
