Right now on my earphones

Well, I’m wondering, is this cool? or does this just date me?

Hmm?

In case you’re wondering about dates, I found this one the other day.

Hey, I still remember my first computer: a Sinclair ZX81 with 2k memory.
I also remember when CD’s were first introduced and they were a novelty item.

I also used to record songs from the radio on my tape recorder. I had to cross my fingers that the Radio Jockey wouldn’t add a special effect in the middle, or some comment and ruin the songs. That took a lot of effort.

It’s cool if you know it’s bad but like it anyway.

Lots can be forgiven for childhood nostalgia. ;) At least it’s on an ipod and not some huge plastic media. Imagine how much space on vinyl the average iPod collection would take up? I’d need an extra room or two in my house.

The second video is appropriate for this evening, there’s been a Kill Bill marathon and some of the musical style is similar. Here’s to science keeping us alive long enough to see whether or not this guy is right about his future predictions.

I like how people are STILL obsessed with the end of our species. We’ve been around for hundreds of thousands of years, not to mention the hundreds of millions our DNA have traveled to us through.

On the other hand, we won’t be Homo sapiens anymore. Homo roboteus? Homo reprogramiens?
