Where in the world is….

October 20, 2008 by dberenstein

By the time you start reading this post, I will be squirming in my seat trying to get a little bit of extra leg room, or I will have landed already. In any case, just to add some meaningful content and to avoid complaining about cramped conditions in airplanes, I thought I would give you a picture I took from an airplane a few years ago. And all you have to do is figure out where in the world this picture was taken.

Hint: there are geographic features in the photo that are visible…

Where was this picture taken?

Where was this picture taken?

I’ll assume that’s the Everest above the clouds.

Hmm, I think I was too fast… it’s a mountain, but it doesn’t look at all like the Everest.

    Mt. Fuji?

    Certainly looks like Fuji

    In an airplane?

Well, now that I landed safely, I can give the answer. The picture was taken from an ariplane, of course, when flying between Santiago de Chile and Buenos Aires. The airplane captain said it was the Aconcagua peak. It could be some other peak if I aimed the camera wrong, but that is the general region of the world that was captured by my camera.

LOL at the answer of Rutger, certainly it was taken on airplane. I also have the same guess that it was in Mt Fuji.
